LOS ANGELES (AP) — A gaggle of traders led through Elon Musk says it’s providing greater than $97 billion to shop for OpenAI, escalating a felony dispute with the synthetic intelligence corporate that Musk helped discovered.
Musk and his personal AI startup, xAI, and a consortium of funding companies say they wish to purchase the ChatGPT maker and revert it again to its authentic charitable venture as a nonprofit analysis lab, in keeping with Musk lawyer Marc Toberoff.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman temporarily rejected the deal on Musk’s social platform X, announcing “no thanks however we will be able to purchase twitter for $9.74 billion if you wish to have.”
Musk purchased Twitter, now known as X, for $44 billion in 2022.
