McWhinney can pay $95M for Thompson Lodge in LoDo

An area company is checking into the Thompson Lodge with a $95 million purchase.

McWhinney, an actual property investor and developer headquartered in downtown’s Dairy Block, bought the 11-story, 216-room resort a couple of streets over at 1616 Marketplace St. for $440,000 a room, public data display.

The industry financed the care for a $64 million mortgage from Värde Companions, a Minneapolis-based lender and investor.

California-based T2 Hospitality, which advanced and opened the Thompson in 2022, used to be the vendor within the deal. It had an impressive $50 million mortgage from East West Financial institution at the assets.

Charges for the standard room with a unmarried king mattress opt for round $365 an evening, in keeping with the resort’s site. The construction has a handful of suites, too, along with Chez Maggy, the French eating place at the floor ground. A social living room and bar may be incorporated at the construction’s 6th ground.

The resort is controlled by way of Hyatt, which runs about twenty Thompson-branded resorts all over the world.
